I graduated from Ishikawa Technical High School with a major in lacquer ware and from Kanazawa College of Art with a major in sculpture, and have been exposed to the craftsmanship of my hometown through my whole life. I became an apprentice at a Wagasa shop in Kanazawa, and quit the store after a year.
After I went to Gifu, the home of Wagasa, by myself to study Wagasa, I started feeling like I love to bring more people the beautifulness of Wagasa. I opened a Wagasa shop in Kanazawa after that, where guests can enjoy making them, not just buying.
